With the lifts spinning at Whistler Bike Park and record breaking temps back home in the UK, Privateer rider Dom Knight packed up his fully custom Privateer 161 and headed overseas for some crisp mountain air and a season of lapping the legendary trails.
The trip got off to a rough start when the airline misplace his beloved one-of-a-kind creation for weeks. Without a bike, Dom rerouted to the USA headquarters of HUNT Bike Wheels and Privateer Bikes in Boulder, Colorado, where he was able to hop on a demo 161 and salvage the trip while he waited for his bike to make its way to Whistler. Here are a few clips from an after work riding session with the American team in Boulder’s Lefthand Canyon on the borrowed Privateer 161 (available for pre-order now, arriving September 2022).
Dom eventually made it back to Whistler, as did his custom 161, so keep an eye out for more shots from the rest of the trip.
